SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD
 

SIPA 2011 WINNER

The Singapore International Photography Award (SIPA) is conferred to the participant who accumulated the most number of points from the various sections in this salon. In case of a tie, the exhibitor who won the most and with the highest position of awards shall be declared the recipient. The breakdown of points are as follows:

Best of Section Award 8 points
FIAP Gold Medal 7 points
FIAP Silver Medal 6 points
FIAP Bronze Medal 5 points
 
PSS Merit Award 4 points
FIAP Honour Mention 3 points
Local Best Entry Award 2 points
Acceptance 1 point

Achieving the Singapore International Photography Award is a demanding feat as the photographer should perform well in as many sections with as many awards and acceptances as possible, with stiff competition from photographers all over the world.

This year, the SIPA 2011 winner is Mr Michael Ee from Singapore. His total score is 23 points, ahead of Mdm Wong Beow Leng, Singapore, 21 points and Mr Ge Xiao, China, 20 points.

Michael Ee started photography in 2005. He attended a Digital Basic Photography Course organised by The Photography Society of Singapore (PSS ). He continued to pursuit and took up more advanced courses like Flashlight and Travel Photography, he later found in love with nature after attended the Nature Photography Course in PSS.

Michael took part in Singapore International Photography Award (SIPA ) since 2006 and became a regular salons participant in 2009.
